Bad Beat Jackpot
The Bad Beat Jackpot at Absolute Poker is a progressive jackpot for poker players. At any of the NL Holdem tables that say (jackpot) after the table name you have a chance to win the Bad Beat Jackpot for stakes as low as $0.25/$0.50 all the way up to $3/$6. With about 50 or more Bad Beat Jackpot tables going on at any given time, the jackpot can grow by well over $1,000 per hour.
Here is how it works. At the Bad Beat Jackpot tables, Absolute Poker will take $0.50 from every pot raked where the rake is $0.25 or more and add it to the jackpot prize pool. To win the jackpot, you must lose 4 of a kind 8’s or higher to a better hand. When the Bad Beat Jackpot is hit, 25% will go to the next jackpot prize pool, 10% to the house, and the remaining 65% is shared among the rest of the table. Out of the remaining 65%, the “bad beat” loser will get 50% , 25% goes to the player who won the hand, and the remaining 25% is split among the other players at the table. Therefore you don’t even have to hit the jackpot to win a nice cash prize. All you have to do is be at the winning table and not “sitting out.”
If you enjoy playing poker and are not currently playing at a Bad Beat Jackpot table then you are missing out. Currently at the time of this writing, the bad beat jackpot is at $413,392.72 and growing very fast.
The Bad Beat Jackpot is just one of the many reasons why you should be playing poker at Absolute Poker. With over $150,000 in guaranteed prize pools every weekend, the Absolute Dream Package worth over $100,000, US players accepted from all 50 states, and a generous bonus structure, Absolute Poker is the only online poker room I currently play at and recommend to all poker lovers.
